Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company - We’re Hiring!
Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company (VFCC) nurtures its land and animals, and embraces a spirit of community in order to produce and provide fresh, quality, artisanal award winning cheeses.
VFCC seeks a full time Creamery Assistant to work 40 hours a week. This position will report to Head Cheesemaker. Part time opportunity available as well.
Rate of Pay: Based on experience. $14-16/hr, paid time off, medical insurance
Location: On site at our dairy farm and creamery in South Woodstock, VT
The art of cheesemaking involves a considerable amount of cleaning, sanitation, and attention to detail. We are looking for the right candidate to assist in making cheese along with all aspects of sanitation and cleaning. Cheese making also involves physical stamina.
Required Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Experience working in a clean environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety preferred or willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift 60+ pounds and bend
- Must be able to follow directions and cleaning protocols.
- Must be able to hustle at time and work on your feet for the majority of the work day.
- Written and verbal communication
- Team player as well as motivated to work independently.
- Excited to jump in and understand the scope of our business from our fields, to cows, to cheese, to our customers.
- Love of cheese is a plus.

Full Job Description
We have a part time position as a Cut and Wrap Associate immediately available in our Windsor, VT facility.
Primary role is vacuum seal machine operator. This job requires physical endurance, an ability operate machinery for extended periods (2 hours), prolonged standing and hustle.
Experience working with food in a clean environment required.
Part-time hours can be flexible
